Hadith: Brotherhood

Hadith is a new series based on Bill Warner’s book The Political Traditions of Mohammed – The Hadith for Unbelievers . It is a compilation of all the Hadith (Traditions) related to non-Muslims. The Political Traditions of Mohammed contains both sets of Islamic ethics – one for the Muslim and one for the unbelievers.

Chapter 1 Ethics

Brotherhood

The brother of a Muslim is another Muslim

B 1,2,12 The Prophet said, “None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself.”

B 8,73,99 Allah’s Messenger said, “Do not hate one another, nor be jealous of one another; and do not desert one another, but O Allah’s worshipers! Be Brothers! And it is unlawful for a Muslim to desert his brother Muslim (and not to talk to him) for more than three nights.”

B 9,85,83 Allah’s Messenger said, “A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim. So he should neither oppress him nor hand him over to an oppressor. And whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs.”
